Santa's Visit

Once upon a Christmas,
In a land so far away.
Santa came to visit,
Where sleeping angels lay.

Two young loves lay sleeping,
As snowflakes danced outside,
Snuggled in their little beds
To wait for Santa's ride.

He came upon their homestead,
Amid the wintry blast,
And filled up both the stockings,
As done in times gone past

He rested near the fireplace,
As time to leave drew near.
He feasted on his midnight snack
And drank his Christmas cheer

He knew he couldn't stay too long,
As morning soon would come.
So rushing off he flew again,
And left the rest to mom.
