My knight in shining armour,
Came to carry me away,
He fought the dragon at the moat
And held my foes at bay.
Then dragon done - he came to me,
Across the oaken bridge,
To stand before me straight and strong
Sun kissed ~ his visor's ridge.
Upon his ebon' steed of might,
With blazing eyes sat he.
Atop this rearing, snorting beast,
He swung me high and free.
He held me in his gentle arms,
And kissed my tears away,
Swore he'd protect his lady love,
Together we could stay.
We rode o'er moor's enchanted mist
As night took sun's last ray,
'Twould be my lot to stay with him ~
[More dragons he would slay].
